NCC provides comprehensive cancer care, combining medical oncology services with specialized surgical management of various cancers. The department offers cancer screening, diagnostic evaluation, chemotherapy, and advanced oncological surgical procedures tailored to each patient’s condition.
Established in Jan 2018 as a sub unit of General Surgery with a single cancer surgeon, evolved over the years with additional services like chemotherapy, cancer surgery, department of oncology, with addition of dedicated nurses and medical officer, further evolution with joining of in-house medical Onclogist. The addition of a dedicated ward for Oncology patients, the National Cancer center of Maldives was established in 2023.
